A China-based route for Canadian fragrance brands

A Canadian fragrance project can require careful coordination between the bottle, component set, packaging presentation, quantity, and delivery plan. YAMEI helps organize those decisions into a reviewable empty packaging brief. The project can begin with an existing bottle reference, a new design concept, a packaging idea, or a complete bottle and box direction.

YAMEI is based in China and does not present a local Canadian factory, warehouse, or fixed finished-goods inventory. It supplies and coordinates empty perfume bottles, pumps, collars, caps, labels, boxes, inserts, samples, production follow-up, quality review, and delivery planning. Perfume liquid, formulas, filling, finished perfume assembly, and flammable-liquid transportation are not provided.

02

Plan the complete packed product, not the bottle alone

The bottle material and shape affect weight, feel, transparency, decoration, protection, and packed volume. The cap, pump, collar, label, box, and insert add their own dimensions and handling requirements. Reviewing the complete empty package early makes it easier to compare practical packaging directions before the brand commits to artwork, samples, or production.

Shipping planning is based on the final quantity, packed volume, weight, protection, and destination. Glass is not automatically the right material and plastic is not automatically the lower-cost choice. A complex plastic structure can require a new mold, while an existing glass option may be easier to review; each project needs its own assessment.

03

Use an existing bottle foundation for a first launch

An existing bottle shape can provide a practical route for an independent brand testing a new concept. The project may focus its customization on logo decoration, color or coating, frosting, a label, a cap direction, or the box. Existing does not mean permanently available stock, and every combination remains subject to material, geometry, component, sample, MOQ, and production review.

If the bottle silhouette must be exclusive, submit a drawing, 3D file, physical sample, or reference concept for a separate custom production assessment. A new mold can be considered when suitable existing options cannot deliver the required structure. Quantity, tooling, technical inputs, sampling, and feasibility are evaluated together.

04

Build the brand presentation through selected details

A strong bottle and packaging direction does not require every detail to be new. A controlled combination of bottle color, logo printing, hot stamping, label, cap, paper, insert, or box surface can create a clear presentation while keeping the brief reviewable. The available processes depend on the selected material, surface, artwork, dimensions, and quantity.

The box should be designed around the assembled empty bottle. Height, maximum width or diameter, cap clearance, weight, support points, and removal direction affect the structure and insert. Existing box structures may be adapted, while special mechanisms, molded inserts, and entirely new structures require separate development and MOQ review.

05

What to prepare for a Canadian project review

A practical brief helps YAMEI compare the existing-structure route with any custom development request. Submit the information below where available, and distinguish requirements that must remain fixed from preferences that can be adjusted after sampling.

  • Expected quantity, capacity, material preference, and target launch timing
  • Bottle shape, cap, pump, collar, decoration, label, and color references
  • Box structure, insert direction, artwork, paper, printing, and surface finishing
  • Reference images, physical sample, dimensions, drawing, 3D file, or existing dieline
  • Destination market, packed protection concerns, and any previous supplier issue
  • The most important one or two brand details for the first production review

06

Samples and production follow-up

Samples can confirm the physical bottle, pump and cap fit, decoration, color, box construction, insert support, and handling. Sample fees and logistics costs apply and must be confirmed before samples are prepared or shipped. A sample is not a fixed unit price or a guarantee that every production process will remain unchanged.

After the specification is reviewed, YAMEI coordinates production follow-up and quality checks for the empty bottle and packaging. Delivery planning is based on actual packing information rather than a generic country promise. The final route depends on quantity, selected processes, packed dimensions, weight, protection, and destination.

07

When a custom development review is appropriate

A new bottle structure, custom mold, special cap, unusual pump system, or complex packaging mechanism can require more development, tooling, samples, and quantity than an existing-structure project. A larger quantity may support a broader set of options, but 2,000 or more pieces does not automatically require a fully custom bottle or packaging route.

When an existing bottle with focused branding can meet the launch goal, it may be more proportionate to review that route first. When it cannot, the existing-design inquiry allows the customer to submit the original design information for a separate production feasibility assessment.

Project Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Does YAMEI have a local warehouse or factory in Canada?

No. YAMEI is based in China and supports Canadian fragrance brands through China-based bottle and packaging supply, project review, sampling, production coordination, and delivery planning.

How can a Canadian brand reduce unnecessary packaging weight?

Weight and protection should be considered together. Bottle material, cap size, box structure, insert material, packed dimensions, and quantity affect the practical delivery plan. YAMEI can review these factors after the complete empty package is defined.

Can Canadian projects use an existing bottle and customize the brand details?

Yes. Existing bottle shapes can be reviewed with selected logo decoration, color or coating, caps, labels, boxes, and inserts. These options are subject to material, geometry, component compatibility, sampling, MOQ, and production review.

YAMEI invites your vote: Should workers have two days off each week?

Workers’ access to two days off each week has sparked widespread discussion in China. We’d like your advice: should this be a requirement when YAMEI chooses its partner factories?
