Begin with accurate bottle information
Packaging fit starts with the complete bottle, including the cap and any projecting decoration. Provide height, width, and depth or diameter in a stated unit. Clear photographs help identify shoulders, bases, and areas that may contact the insert. A physical bottle sample may be requested before the final insert and dieline are confirmed.
Allowing the box to be developed from approximate capacity alone creates avoidable risk. Two bottles with the same volume can have very different proportions and centers of gravity. The packaging must account for removal, protection, headspace, and component movement. If a dieline or previous package exists, it can be included as reference but still requires review against the current bottle.

Choose a box structure for the project
Lid-and-base, folding carton, drawer, and magnetic book-style directions create different opening experiences and use different materials and assembly methods. The right structure depends on bottle weight, protection, market position, artwork, shipping format, and quantity. A complex presentation box is not automatically better when a precise folding carton meets the product and launch requirements.
Structure should be selected before detailed artwork is finalized. Panels, folds, hinges, openings, and visible edges affect the usable graphic area. A structural sample can confirm proportions and bottle access before the final print finish is approved. Packaging dimensions also influence outer-carton planning and delivery coordination for empty bottles and packaging.

Plan the inner tray around fit and removal
The inner tray supports the bottle, controls movement, and frames the first view when the box opens. EVA, foam, paperboard, molded pulp, and other reviewed directions differ in appearance, protection, material character, and production requirements. The tray should hold the bottle securely without making it difficult for the customer to remove.
Cutout shape, finger access, cap clearance, bottle weight, and the contact points around decorated surfaces all matter. A tray that presses against foil, labels, or coated areas may damage the presentation. The insert color and surface should also support the bottle rather than compete with it. Fit is confirmed through dimensional and physical review, not from a visual reference alone.

Coordinate paper, color, and finishing
Paper specification establishes the base color, texture, print response, and edge appearance. Printed color can then be combined with hot stamping, embossing, debossing, or spot UV where appropriate. These processes should follow a clear hierarchy so that the logo, product name, and essential information remain legible.
Dark uncoated papers, bright printed surfaces, metallic foils, and tactile finishes behave differently in production. A screen preview cannot confirm the final paper tone or reflectivity. Samples are used to check color, registration, foil coverage, relief, surface marking, and the relationship between the packaging and bottle components.

Prepare artwork and regulatory space
Artwork should be created on the approved dieline and keep important content away from folds, cut lines, and glue areas. Supply vector logos and linked or embedded images at suitable resolution. Identify any required product, market, or legal information early so that the layout reserves enough readable space. YAMEI does not create or verify perfume formula information.
When artwork is not final, an initial brief can still define panel hierarchy, logo location, finish direction, and required text areas. Avoid assuming that a reference box can be copied exactly. References are used to discuss structure and presentation; dimensions, materials, artwork rights, technical feasibility, and the final visual result must be reviewed for the new project.

MOQ, sampling, and a useful packaging brief
Packaging MOQ depends on box structure, material, inner tray, printing, finishing, and size. A simple structure and a rigid presentation box do not share one universal minimum. Combining multiple finishes or developing custom inserts may increase setup and sample requirements. Final quantity, sample cost, unit price, and timing are confirmed after the complete packaging specification is reviewed.
A useful brief includes bottle dimensions, photographs, estimated quantity, target market, launch timing, structure references, tray preference, artwork status, and essential finishes. For a new bottle and packaging set, use the combined configurator so both directions remain in one submission. For an existing bottle, the packaging-only flow collects the fit information before box selections begin.
