Two ways to make your own bottle shape

A new bottle shape needs its own mold. The production method sets the mold fee, the sampling fee and the minimum order.

Best consistency

Automatic IS-machine line

Bottles are formed on fully automatic individual-section (IS) machines, the standard method for major fragrance brands.

Glass is melted in a crucible kiln and formed with semi-automatic equipment and skilled hands.

Once the mold is made, a custom bottle costs only slightly more per piece than a stock bottle, depending on size and glass weight.

A stock glass bottle costs $0.25 – $0.90 per piece, a stock spray pump $0.25 – $0.60 and a stock cap $0.25 – $0.90. A bottle made from your own mold costs $0.75 – $1.80 per piece, plus a one-time mold fee of $1,500 – $2,300 on a semi-automatic line (from 500 pieces) or $1,750 – $3,000 on an automatic line (from 5,000 pieces).

What is the minimum order for custom perfume bottles?

Stock bottles, logo printing, hot foil and packaging start from 300 pieces. Spray colour coating starts from 3,000 pieces. A bottle from your own mold starts from 500 pieces on a semi-automatic line, or 5,000 to 30,000 pieces on an automatic line.

How much does it cost to print a logo on perfume bottles?

Screen printing or hot foil stamping costs $0.50 – $0.90 per bottle for each colour, from 300 pieces. Spray colour coating costs $0.50 – $0.90 per bottle, from 3,000 pieces.

How much does a custom perfume bottle cap cost?

Artificial stone caps have a mold fee of $110 – $190 and cost $2.50 – $4.50 each, from 300 pieces. Resin caps have a mold fee of $320 – $690 and cost $2.25 – $4.50 each, from 3,000 pieces. Zinc alloy caps have a mold fee of $1,300 – $2,800, start from 5,000 pieces and are quoted after design review.

How much does perfume packaging cost?

A standard printed box costs $2.15 – $4.50 per piece. A premium magnetic box with a hot foil logo and fitted insert costs $3.20 – $5.00. Both start from 300 pieces; wooden boxes are quoted individually.

Do these prices include shipping and taxes?

No. All prices are reference ranges in US dollars and exclude international shipping, import duties and taxes, which depend on the destination and the agreed trade term. The exact price is confirmed in your quotation.

How the prices work

Sampling fee credit

80% of the sampling fee is credited against your bulk order. The remaining 20% covers design and development work.

Not included

Prices exclude international shipping, sample freight, import duties and taxes. Shipping is quoted separately under the agreed trade term, such as EXW, FOB or CIF.

Minimum orders

Stock combinations, screen printing and hot foil start at 300 pieces; spray colour starts at 3,000. Custom molds follow the minimums shown above.
