Shape Collection

Square & Rectangular Perfume Bottles

Square and rectangular bottles are the largest group in this catalogue, and the reason is practical: a flat panel is the best surface a fragrance brand can have. Artwork sits square to an edge, labels apply cleanly, and the bottle packs efficiently into a carton.

Flat panels make decoration easier

Silk screen printing, hot stamping and label application all register more predictably on a flat surface than on a curve. For a brand whose identity depends on typography or a precise logo lockup, that predictability is usually the deciding factor.

A flat front panel also gives a larger usable artwork area than a cylinder of the same volume, because nothing is lost to the curve falling away from the viewer.

  • Print registration is more predictable than on a curved body
  • Larger usable artwork area for a given volume
  • Labels apply flat, without wrinkling or edge lift

02

Packing and shelf presence

Rectangular bottles tessellate. They waste less space in a carton than cylinders, which reduces the volume shipped per unit and makes inner tray design simpler. On a shelf they present a flat face to the customer rather than a highlight strip.

The trade-off is at the corners. Glass is harder to distribute evenly into a corner than around a curve, so wall thickness and base thickness are checked carefully, particularly on tall narrow rectangles.

03

Range and minimums

This is the widest group in the catalogue and it covers every capacity band, so it is usually the first place to look when a specific proportion matters. Necks are predominantly 15mm, with a meaningful number of 18mm screw and 13mm options.

A catalogue bottle with an available stock cap and pump starts from 300 pieces; logo printing or sprayed colour raises the minimum to 500 pieces.

Project Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Why are square bottles better for logo printing?

A flat panel lets artwork register square to an edge, so silk screen printing, hot stamping and labels apply more predictably than on a curved surface. The usable artwork area is also larger for a given volume.

Do square bottles have any production disadvantages?

Glass distributes less evenly into corners than around a curve, so wall and base thickness need closer checking, especially on tall narrow rectangles. These are reviewed against an approved sample before bulk production.
